WTM Latin America confirms major destinations for the 2018 edition

The event brings the world of tourism to the city of São Paulo between April 3rd and April 5 – among the exhibitors who have confirmed are the USA, Palestine, Peru and Chile

WTM Latin America – the world’s leading event for the Latin American travel industry – has already received confirmation from a number of major destinations for the next edition, which will take place between April 3rd and April 5th, 2018, at the Expo Center Norte, in the city of São Paulo.

The United States heads up the ranking so far, with 8 exhibitors already confirmed a little more than two months before the event. Among them are the Bahamas Tourist Office, Brand USA, Visit Orlando, Visit Florida, the Las Vegas Convention & Visitor Authority, NYC & Company, and Visit Kissimee.

Among other confirmed destinations are exhibitors from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. These are as follows: Tourism of Chile, Peru, Egypt (the Egyptian Tourist Authority) and Palestine (the Palestine Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities).

“The destinations that have already confirmed are making a return to the event and, as a result, collaborating with the success that WTM Latin America has achieved worldwide in the tourist segment over the course of these years. Having them come back to us reinforces the importance and scope that the business generated during the event’s duration has on the Latin American travel market”, states Luciane Leite, WTM Latin America’s director.

In 2017 the event had roughly 8 thousand visitors, which was an 18% increase vis-à-vis the previous year. And was against this backdrop, with approximately 50 countries and 600 exhibitors present, that WTM Latin America offered the opportunity to leverage the travel sector by boosting the promotion of destinations on different continents, which have the chance to emphasize their culture, gastronomy, attractions and differentials in order to attract strategic partners related to the sector.
